Linus Torvalds

 

1.    Linus Torvalds was born on December 28, 1969.

2.    Linus was a big admirer of the Basic language.

3.    He was member of the Swedish community.

4.    His parents were journalists.

5.    Linus at 11 years old was already interested in technology.

6.    In the 1980s, he had taken contact with IBM and PC.

7.    In 1988, he went to the University of Helsinki.

8.    At the age of 21, he used to do small projects.

9.    In 1991, he had launched his first version of Linux.

10. In 1997, he received the 1997 Nokia Foundation Award from Nokia and the Lifetime Achievement Award at Uniforum Pictures.

11. In 1997, he finished his higher studies.

12. He worked at Transmeta from February 1997 until 2003.
